We appreciate the investment you are making in your oral health and overall well being when you visit a dentist. Because the financial costs of doing so can be substantial, we pledge to work with you to provide an opportunity for you to have the right care, at the right time, in the right setting and on a manageable financial plan.
It is customary and expected that payment will be made at the time of any treatment unless other arrangements have been made. These arrangements may include the use of dental insurance, an in-office financial plan or the use of one of the several available third-party payment systems.
We make every effort to work with your insurance plan, if you have one, so that your appointments and any needed paperwork and claims are processed as quickly and smoothly as possible. We are pleased to complete and send that paperwork on your behalf, and wait for any expected payment from the insurance company.
It is your responsibility to make sure we have up-to-date policy information if your plan has changed and that you understand the coverage and benefit limitations of your plan. Many plans have recently reduced their coverage amounts or have enacted other restrictions that might affect what they will pay toward your treatments. With hundreds of different insurance companies, plans, and types of coverage options, we do our best to ESTIMATE what your plan covers and help you avoid any unexpected costs. But in many cases the information they provide us is not as complete as the information they will provide the subscriber – you – about many specific and important details.
With most plans, patients have co-pays and deductible, and possibly office visit fees that are set by your insurance company for many procedures. We cannot waive these and they must be collected at the time of service.
Although we are pleased to help you take advantage of any coverage help available, it is critical that patients understand that your insurance is an agreement between you, the insurance company and your employer, if applicable.
Please do not hesitate to ask us to help you if you are unsure of your coverage.
We are in-network with most plans under the following insurance companies. In some cases, specific requirement set by a plan sponsor – typically an employer – may further limit a plan’s network of providers. If you are unsure about your plan, please call your insurance provider or our office prior to your appointment and we will look into it.
If you do not see your insurance company listed above or we are not in-network with your insurance plan, do not give up yet. Many plans work with out-of-network providers. In most cases, your coverage may be a little different or they may apply usual and/or customary fee differences. Meaning they determine the amount they will pay up to for each service and treatment and you are responsible for the difference between that rate and the office standard fee. In most circumstances, this is not a significant difference.
We truly understand the hardship of health costs today. Although, we completely stand by the necessity and worth of the dental care we provide, we have taken steps to be one of the most flexible offices in the valley to provide you options to care and maintain your oral health.
We accept cash, all credit cards, checks and CareCredit.
We also provide the option of no-interest payment plans through a third-party, HIPAA compliant, secure payment processing company, DOCPAY. Depending on your treatment balance and available monthly payment we can spread payments anywhere between 1 to 18-months. Processing fees may apply depending on the payment type chosen.
If there is come element of our payment policy or a financial consideration you would like to discuss further, please do not hesitate to call and talk with one of our trained staff.
